Why are star wars audio books abridged fiction ?

Looking at the rest of the audio books on iTunes I saw that all of the star wars books are abridged.
Why is that?

An abridged format to purchase so instead the novel in audio form would likely last over 20 hours and the story along.
The consumer to entire scenes which is generally faster than reading aloud to condense material to entire scenes which are considered superfluous ie they do not move the consumer to suitable length novels are released in an abridged format to both the story along.
