Audio Books Vs Hard Cover Books
Gone are the days where learning to read and write was compulsory to acquiring knowledge; not anymore because of the technology of audio books. Thanks to audio book technology, one can now also listen to fun and entertainment books, like novels, etc without necessarily having the reading/writing knowledge.
More people now prefer to buy audio books instead of physical hardcover books because of the extreme comfort they derive from listening. That’s why many book titles now come in audio book format as well as physical book format.
For people who are always on the road driving, it’s wiser to “listen” to audio books rather than dedicate time to “reading” the same book. For those that don’t have time at all to read books, they would get lots of knowledge with audio books.
I just hope we aren’t seeing the demise of the reading era because these days children, adults and the aged now prefer audio books. Many insist that because children, adults and even the old folks now prefer audio books, this might very well be the end of the reading era. Book publishers have confirmed that they spend far less producing audio books than they do hardcover or paperback; I suspect this might adversely affect the future of normal hardcover or paperback books. Audio books are much more cost effective in terms of production than other paperbacks and hardcover books; this is a big extra advantage audio books have.
For those that love conserving nature, they will agree that with audio books nature will be conserved, but with hardcover and paperback, nature won’t be conserved. Household chores can now be done with ease, especially when a very interesting audio book is playing in the distance
While you can’t read a normal hardcover or paperback book in the dark, with an audio book you can listen even in the dark; this is so far one of the most powerful advantages of audio book. These advantages, and more not mentioned in this article, have obviously shown you why most people now prefer audio books.
